GLAZES PREPARATION

The tiles, whatever their size, must be covered with ceramic enamels before being fired. Ceramic glaze is a fusible inorganic coating that attaches to ceramic at high temperatures (from 700°C to 1400°C): it is a vitreous substance available in any colour depending on the customer’s needs. A ceramic glaze is made up of three base elements: the vitrifying agent, the melting substance and the stabiliser. MecTiles Italia supplies a complete range of devices, both new and regenerated, designed to treat these ceramic glazes, with the necessary sieving and iron removal operations.
